Four members of Troop 121 earn Eagle Scout rank

Members of Boy Scout Troop 121 who recently achieved the coveted rank of Eagle Scout are, from left, Kapil Yedidi, Ryan Stevenson, Hayden Stevenson and Jason Lee.

Boy Scout Troop 121, Iron Horse District, Golden Empire Council honored four scouts in an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony on March 8 at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Granite Bay. Scout Master John Hooten participated in the ceremony.

The four scouts achieving the rank of Eagle scout were Kapil Kishore Yedidi, Ryan Spenser Stevenson, Hayden Matthew Stevenson and Jason Davis Lee.

Yedidi and Hayden Stevenson attend Granite Bay High School and will graduate in 2009.

Yedidi has been accepted to Stanford University and will start in the fall of 2009.

Hayden Stevenson plans to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps upon graduation.

Ryan Stevenson graduated from GBHS in 2007 and is now a sophomore at Chico State working toward a degree in civil engineering.

Lee attends Oakmont High School and will graduate in 2009. He has plans to attend Cosumnes River College in the fall and later attend Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo to complete a degree in architectural engineering.

The boys each completed an extensive community service project to achieve the Eagle Scout rank. Total hours for the projects combined exceeded 500.

A total of 169 boys have advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout since the formation of Troop 121.
