Cache of guns stolen from storage unit
By Nathan Donato-Weinstein | nathand@goldcountrymedia.com

Twenty-one – and likely many more – firearms were reported stolen from a Roseville self-storage facility this month, according to a police report.

The weapons, including both handguns and rifles, were part of a relative’s collection that the Roseville victims had stored at All American Self Storage on Taylor Road since January 2008. But the victims didn’t discover the burglary until Sept. 10, when they went to check on the facility.

No laws forbid the keeping of weapons at self-storage units, but the state recommends they be stored unloaded and separate from ammunition.

Police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said serial numbers from the stolen firearms would be entered into a statewide database.

Police volunteers also routinely check Craigslist and other online avenues to identify stolen property, including firearms.

They are trying to take our guns from us.

Well the only question you ask is who knew they were there ?
