Urologist Carolina Alvayay, M.D., recently joined Sutter Medical Group in Roseville.

She treats a broad range of urological disorders of the male and female urinary tract, which includes the bladder, prostate, kidneys, and urethra.

In addition, Alvayay has particular interest and experience in erectile dysfunction and laparoscopy.

A former Roseville resident, Alvayay said she is glad to be home again. Alvayay returned to the area with her husband and infant son after living in New York City for 10 years.

“I’m really happy to be near my family,” she said. “We especially love this area because there are so many activities to do outdoors.”

During college, Alvayay volunteered at the Roseville Community Hospital Emergency Department. She attributes her experiences there with helping her find her path toward a career in medicine. Alvayay is a graduate of Oakmont High School and Sacramento State.

Alvayay enjoys hiking, landscape and wildlife photography and traveling abroad. Her favorite trips have been to Patagonia and on safari in Botswana. She said she keeps her camera ready for new outdoor adventures.

Of Chilean descent, Alvayay speaks fluent Spanish.
